UEFA Europa League quarterfinal draws

The draws for the quarter finals of the UEFA Europa league have been done and all 8 remaining teams have learnt their fate, regarding the opponents they must overcome to advance to the next round.

Manchester United have been drawn to face La Liga side Granada while Arsenal will take on Slavia Prague. Ajax will play Roma, and Dinamo Zagreb have been drawn against Villarreal, making 4 match-ups.

Manchester United, who overcame AC Milan 2-1 on aggregate in the round of 16, will face Granada in the last eight, a team that has defied the odds to make it this far, after knocking out Napoli and Molde in the previous knockout rounds.

Another of the tournament favourites, Arsenal are up against Czech Republic giants, Slavia Prague who saw have already knocked out two British teams, Leicester City and Rangers in previous rounds.

The victors from Arsenal versus Slavia Prague play either Unai Emery’s Villarreal or Zagreb, who stunned Tottenham in the last 16 with a comeback 3-2 aggregate win.

And if Manchester United beats Granada, they will play the winner of Ajax vs Roma in the semifinals, meaning an all-Premier League final is possible is both the Red Devils and the Gunners win through the next two rounds.

First-leg matches will be played on Thursday April 8, and the second legs will take place the week after, on Thursday April 15.

The Europa League semi-finals will be played on April 29, (first leg) and May 6 (second leg). The final will then be played on Wednesday May 26, with the Gdansk Arena in Poland hosting.
